Recently, the third batch of core areas and collaborative areas for cultivating characteristic industrial clusters at the provincial level in Zhejiang Province was announced. The modern textile and clothing industry cluster in Zhejiang Province has selected and determined 3 core areas and 7 collaborative areas.
Xiaoshan District, Tongxiang City, and Keqiao District of Shaoxing City have been selected as core areas of the modern textile and clothing industry cluster. Linping District of Hangzhou City (fashion clothing), Haishu District of Ningbo City (fashion clothing), Ouhai District of Wenzhou City (fashion clothing), Lucheng District of Wenzhou City (fashion footwear industry), Haining City (industrial textiles), Xiangshan County (intelligent weaving), and Lanxi City (intelligent weaving) have been selected as collaborative areas of the modern textile and clothing industry cluster, achieving a breakthrough of zero provincial-level collaborative areas in Zhejiang Province.
Taking Haining City as an example, the modern textile and clothing industry is the pillar industry and wealth industry of Haining City, and an important part of the modern textile and clothing industry around Hangzhou Bay. From leather to clothing, from home textiles to warp knitting, Haining has comprehensively laid out its industrial system, which has the characteristics of large cluster scale, excellent product quality, and wide industrial influence. Titles such as "China's Leather Capital", "China's Warping City", and "China's Textile Industry Base" have resounded throughout the country. As of the end of November 2024, there were 795 large-scale enterprises in the textile and clothing industry in Haining City. From January to November, the industrial output value of large-scale enterprises reached 73.981 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.83%.
In recent years, Haining's textile and clothing industry has achieved remarkable innovation results, with a number of high-energy innovation service complexes such as Haining China Home Textile City Fashion Fabric Innovation Center and Zhejiang Zhongfang Warping Technology Research Institute, providing one-stop full chain entrepreneurship and innovation services for enterprises. At present, Haining's textile and clothing industry has cultivated one provincial-level key enterprise research institute, 14 provincial-level enterprise research institutes, and 162 national high-tech enterprises.
Haining City has successively established the China Haining (Textile, Clothing and Home Furnishings) Intellectual Property Quick Maintenance Center and the Knitting Industry Brain, providing enterprises with a one-stop intellectual property public service platform and offering services such as equipment networking and supply chain finance. Actively organizing large-scale industrial events such as the "National Tour of Three Products" in Zhejiang Province, the "Ten Chains, One Hundred Events, Ten Thousand Enterprises" modern textile and clothing industry chain docking activity, and the "8th China Textile Intangible Cultural Heritage Conference", becoming the permanent and only venue for the "China Fashion Conference".
Next, Haining City will continue to make decisions and deployments based on the provincial "415X" advanced manufacturing cluster cultivation project, relying on the unique advantages and profound heritage of Haining's industrial clusters, and following the development strategy of "improving both ends, optimizing the middle, and seizing the high-end", to create a leading domestic and internationally influential modern textile and clothing industry highland.
